Default Musee du Quai Branly

Flabbergasted to hear that this just opened and I missed it a couple of
weeks ago.

So how is this monument to Chirac's tenure?

Sorry ! I didn't dare to announce, as usual..., its opening few days
before, because of... the cabale launched first by UK art press (unfair
IMO). I wanted to see first. What jungle... ? :+) :
Not deceived.

It's built in your image rather than Chirac's?

I found some comments and MANY photos (more than 400 !) on flickf.com :

It's true that the day of the inauguration some walls of the
underground floor were unfinished and some glasscases dirty. But some
lacks of finition seem deliberate like the spots on the underground
level floor. An echo to aborigene/african paintings... ? They are
details of few importance IMO.
