Has anyone stayed at the Mayfair Millennium in London? My travel agent
is giving me a good deal on the hotel for the summer. I am concerned
abt the distance to the nearest tube station (Bond Street)--since I'm
getting conflicting information from diff web sites. Some say that the
tube station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel--others say it is abt 2
km.
any idea?

Type in the postcode of the hotel, look at where the arrow points, and
decide for yourself.

It's on Grosvenor (pron: Grovener) Square, just round the corner from the US
Embassy. Very pleasant location, pretty square, very safe (lots of police
and cctv because of US embassy - I'm not talking about terrorist threat),
and 500 yds from Bond St tube. Though I haven't stayed it's a superior
4-star, with service and facilities to match. I don't think you'll be
disappointed.

Bond Street station is served by two tube lines, Central and Jubilee. Is the
Central line running again yet?
