What are my options travelling from Luebeck to Berlin, preferably
cheapest option. Any one have any links to a bus? I checked Deutsche
Bahn but the train was rather expensive...

If you avoid taking ICE, IC or EC trains then the train is also only about
35 Euro--you can go to this site
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en and specify non IC or EC
trains, and still get halfway decent schedules like these:

If you travel on the weekend I think you can still get a Schoenes Wochenende
ticket for 28 Euro (good for up to 5 people, too--sometimes people form ad
hoc groups at the train station), which is also for non ICE, IC, or EC
trains.
