Default Looking for lodging in Germany.........

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a very nice but moderate place to stay
in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany (southern Germany). I was looking for a
Gasthof or Germany house to stay at. No big high priced fancy
hotels/commercialized. I know that they rent rooms for very cheap and most
are VERY nice. Any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie

You could try the accommodation section of the town's Tourist

This place, close to Munich, has plenty of rooms year 'round.

When in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, it's the cheapest and nicest solution to
drive home for the night. At least for me. :-Þ

Certainly better than staying in a hotel with a shunting yard in
it's back garden.

Instead of staying in expensive trendy GAP, stay in one of the nearby
villages like Krün for example (http://www.kruen.de/). Or go up the
mountain just over the border and stay in Leutasch
(http://www.leutasch.net/).

This is exactly my experience in Washington, DC. Except I take the Subway
home, then walk to my house from it.

That's very kind of you. Please post your address, and some directions
to your house.

He already mentioned that the spare room has a sloping floor and tiled
walls and floor. Even Boris Becker turned his nose up.

Was that his nose?

Anyway, who's talking about the spare room?

Home exchange isn't such a bad vacation solution. Is there anything to
see or do in Washington, DC? Do you own a adequate car that would be
included into the deal? :-)
