Dear Runge, some people, like our Mr. Spam, find it very interesting
to see their name on the internet. Mostly they have a very low IQ!
So have patience with our poor Martin!

Grungy has outscored Martin in "Spam", so far today, 17 to 9 on
rec.travel.europe.
Martin baits Grungy and sure enough Grungy bites every time.

Martin doesn't bait Grunge. Martin ignores him.
Jacqueline is upset because her website is only in Dutch and remains
in Dutch no matter how many times she posts a link to it. To think I
was going to offer to translate it for her. Jacqueline still doesn't
understand the meaning of spam & abuse.

Any posting you (or I) make is baiting Grungy.

She is posting from where, Holland? Is Dutch that difficult?

I wasn't on my primary header, I opened up that and found she is at
chello.nl. I looked at www.chello.nl and sure enough it is in Dutch
Doesn't look that hard, half the words are related to English or German.
Anyway if she is living in Holland she should learn Dutch.

And apparently you are both so stupid you don't understand
the meaning of "spam" as used on the internet! If you had
troubled to follow the link, you would have seen a photo of
Christmas lights (presumably in Leiden). Since Leiden is in
Europe, and there was no advertising text involved, Martin's
post certainly did not fit any definition of spam. Although
posting photos directly to Usenet Newsgroups is frowned
upon, SFAIK it is perfectly acceptable to post a link to a
photograph one wants to share - many posters do so every day.

True, but the spellings for Dutch (Flemish) defeat me - too
many extraneous letters, and the pronunciation doesn't
appear to be as straightforward as German (Englisn
pronunciation is of course a different matter, especially
for those of us who didn't learn it as a first language.)

The only words I remember are "Kip".
However, to the ear at a short distance, some Dutch
sound like they are speaking English. That even
occurs in the UK.
Up close you find you have been fooled.
