I'll be in the Lake Como area for a few days in May. I am looking for some
recommendations for nice lodging, nice view, but not too expensive. I have heard of
the following 3 hotels and wondering if any readers have visited them. Any help will
be much appreciated!
- Hotel San Giorgio in Lenno (also, is there a web site for this place?)
- Victoria Hotel in Varenno
- Jolly Hotel in Lecco
Thanks, Bart

We enjoyed part of our honeymoon in Varenna at Hotel Milan - a very small (10room)
lakeside hotel. 2rooms have their own balcony and there is a lovely common terrace
for breakfast and an early evening drink. The elderly owners don't speak much if any
English, but do understand "impro-Italian" and are very nice. It was certainly less
than 100USD for 2pers in a doubleroom w. bath and breakfast - probably around 50USD,
but I don't think they accepted creditcards.
DO make reservations soon although you're not going in high season I think this place
gets packed quickly. Have a wonderful trip Cecilie
