If you know what country and town old Joe was from, you could possibly look
him up by going to http://www.infobel.com , pick out the right country, go
to its telephone directory, and putting name and town in for a search.

Noting that your email address has uk in it, I went to United Kingdom
choice, and did a search for Joseph Gillen in the UK at
http://www.infobel.com/uk There are 5 hits in each of Leeds, Greenock,
Eyemouth, Glasgow and Belfast. If he has an unlisted number, or is listed
by initial only, you may be out of luck.
