Default If war with Iraq, airline prices up or down?

If U.S. goes to war with Iraq, will prices for airline tickets from U.S. to
Europe go up or down (or not be affected)?

In the beginning, they'll go up. Then, once the unelected idiot Bush and
his poodle's policies result in a dramatic rise in terrorist attacks,
they'll start to go down again. When the next couple of hijacked airliners
are flown into the Sears Tower, or into Canary Wharf, or when a suitcase
left in Grand Central Station explodes, creating a mushroom cloud over
Manhattan ... and when we again see Americans running down the street,
covered in radioactive dust, and screaming (without the slightest hint of
irony), 'Why do they hate us ??!!' ... prices will fall even further.

Some airlines with fewer passengers will put prices up to cover their
costs.

Other airlines with fewer passengers will cut their prices right down
to try and stimulate demand.

Some of the higher-end hotels in London, which have relied on large
numbers of US visitors, have already been cutting their rates. There
are bargains to be had.

I'm sure she is proud of this one - "normal" or not.

I predict they'll first go down, then go up, wobble from side to side
for a while, followed by a Salchow triple-loop and a double axel with
a little pirouette afterwards.

In short I don't know, and I don't think anyone else does either.
There are just WAY too many unknowns to even permit a likely estimate.
