Tourism to Ukraine probably won't really increase much until Ukraine
eliminates the Soviet-style visas for EU citizens, Japanese, Americans,
and Canadians. I read that Yushchenko is trying to eliminate visas for
the Eurovision attendees, so maybe the general visa situation will
improve soon. I recommend improving your website while you are
waiting.

but this is the only way to fill expensive hotels and a way for the
different agencies to make money with invitations. registrations. etcetc.
for a foreigner. life is much more expensive than say .. any european land..
if there were no visa. there would be a lot of trade with Poland /
Slovakia/Hungary..
I remember when Ukraina still did not need any visa for Slovakia.. cars and
buses everywhere organizing small
markets to sell almost everything.. even Ukrainian cars
( From this.. the saying.. the only good thing of this car is its price.. )
until of course people reacted with visas.. taxes.. and parking fees.

Why is your country sometimes called "Ukraine" and other times it is
called "The Ukraine". Sort of like "The Sudan" and "The Bronx". They
don't sounds right without the The. really, no troll
