The cheapest way to get around is usually bus - try www.eurolines.com

The train is much more pleasant, and might not be much more
expensive. Depending on how many trips you plan to take, you may want
to get a rail pass. They are a better deal if you are under 26 years
old.

Fly from Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) to Cologne (CGN) on
Germanwings. One-way flight costs as low as EUR 43,50. Look
up fare and departure times on www.germanwings.com.

Take train from CGN airport to CGN Hauptbahnhof, then take
train from there directly to Maastricht. Find the fare and
departure times on www.bahn.de.

***to*** Paris ***from*** Maastrict, but otherwise how does it compare with just
taking the train all the way to Paris as I suggested?

Crap, I did read that backwards, didn't I? I blame lack of coffee.

Okay, train from Maastricht to CGN, Germanwings from CGN to CDG, prices stay
the same. Might be cheaper than the direct train from Maastricht to Paris,
but it won't take any less time. Looks like there are trade-offs between
"most convenient" and "costs less."

I have a feeling we are being trolled. I've noticed several similar questions
without any follow up by the OP.

Why would someone post a troll asking how to get from A to B?

Trolls usually want to start arguments, not post what seems to be a
normal question and get a normal answer.
