Poor effort. Trolls have to be much subtler than that to get a good
response.

Since 1400 yes indeed, since last week, not really
    > on trains and public places ?
yep

    > lavatory paper available ?
No need to carry your own, this isn't 1950
washing facilities ?
WOW, for yourself or your clothes?
    > clean conditions or earth closet ?

earth closet now that is a neat euphemism, if only we knew for what it
stood.
    > ratio of squatters to sitters ?

Most of the squaters moved out to the American west some time ago, but
from the sound of this you could probably use a sitter.

As compared to when?

    > on trains and public places ?

On trains, so-so--clean at the start of the day, much messier at the end
of the day.

Public places vary a lot, but truly squeaky clean toilets are rare.

    > lavatory paper available ?

Usually.

    > washing facilities ?

Plain water and a hot-air dryer, usually. Sometimes a bar of soap or a
liquid-soap dispenser.

    > clean conditions or earth closet ?

Cleanliness is not as good as I'd like it to be.

    > ratio of squatters to sitters ?

Mostly the latter, except in old public buildings.

Even in the toilets in prison visiting rooms. I can add that in these
visiting rooms you have a choice, sit or squat.

I most certainly did not!!!!

But on that interesting topic - you will have seen the posters
"Plaisir d'etre propre" - but have you ever seen a shop selling what
they advertise?

Yes, those are very strange!

If you want to be really "propre," you rinse with a bidet before using
the toilet paper to dry yourself.

    > ... but have you ever seen a shop selling what they advertise?

Every grocery shop in France sells toilet paper, usually Moltonel or
Lotus, and almost always pink or white in color.

No, I don't. What follows it? It's just a static photo.

About all I ever see is Lotus and Moltonel, but there are a few other
brands that one sees in larger shops.
