I am trying to find hotels in Rome that are closer to Rome Intercontinental Airport Leonardo da Vinci (FCO) AND major attractions. I'll be there for 3-4nights. I am travelling with my husband and 3yr old.
Since I am planning to do some more travelling, I have about 3-4bags of luggage, that's why I was thinking about staying close to FCO(so that the cost to haul the luggage from FCO to hotel by Taxi doesn't cost me a lot). But if living closer to FCO means longer time to attractions, I am willing to go away from FCO.
BTW, did I mention I am a budget traveller!
Thanks in advance for any insight.

We have decided that we'll stay close to Stazione Termini, so that we can access the touristy spots easily. Now we plan to go to Naples/Pompeii for one night. What is the best way to get there from Rome?
