Default Hotel Mercure San Antonio St Paul's Bay MALTA

The Grand Hotel Mercure San Antonio is probably the worst Mecure Hotel
I've ever been in.

Located in the charmless town of buggiba the hotel looks nice but it
is very noisy ! You can hear the room next to you as well as the
street at night.

Beware: The tap water served in your room and in the restaurant is not
drinkable (at least for europeans and US citizen) so there is a good
chance you'll get sick after your first meal.

The food served in the hotel is of bad quality and delivered in "bulk"
with little presentation. The cook will use as much spices as need to
cover the real taste of what is served, this is truly sad considering
that food in malta is rather good !

The service could be better with a few smiles but that's ok when you
get used to it.

Find a better hotel, trust me it's not worth your money !

Most (if not all) tap water in Malta is undrinkable. There is
insufficient natural fresh water to supply the island and the water
that makes up the supply is desalinated sea water. Do you really
expect the hotel to fly in bottles of water for you to bath in?
