Hello !
I am looking for a cheap hotel in Chur not to far from the train
station.
I am not a backpacker but don't want to throw my money away in the
expensive Switzerland.
The same for a hotel in the area of Bludenz in Austria.
Has anybody a good suggestion ?
Thanks in advance,

The Hotel Drei Koenige runs a "Backpackers" in it's attic, mattresses on the
floor, about SFr.25 if you have your own sheet sleeping sack or sleeping
bag. Included is a breakfast buffet with the full-paying guests. I stayed
there several times last year and plan to return next summer whenever I pass
through Chur. http://www.dreikoenige.ch/index.php?page=281, click on
"special offer for backpackers" at top of page.
In Bludenz see www.bludenz.at, "tourism", "hotels und gaestehofe". I stayed
here

A 20 minute walk from the train station, suggest you phone and reserve.
They might give a discount if you don't take breakfast. Yummy fruit from
their trees if you're there at the right time. Think I paid 12 Euros last
year.

Not as cheap as your option, but the Comfort Inn chain has a hotel in
CHur not far from the station. I don't recall the rate in Cur now, but
the Comfort Inn we used in Graz was cheaper than the Ibis. We finally
stayed in Scuol rather than Chur.
