I'm not sure I understand you. At 20 miles from Cologne are you not
several hours from both Berlin and Munich? One hour seems to be an
understatement...

Read the post properly. He said "by plane"....
and to find out about the spectacular low rates, try www.hlx.com
or www.air-berlin.com for samples.

"wonderful Dusseldorf"??? 8-)

one hour by plane if you have your own? Must mean it's next to an
airport, right?

Dusseldorf is a great place. Went out on my birthday to the KiKaKo Sushi
bar
that makes the best sushis anywhere this side of Tokyo, then we strolled
down
to an Italian for a capuccino with apple cake afterwards.

Mönchen-Gladbach - daily scheduled flights to Stansted, Milan,
Zurich and Vienna.
Also not far is Dortmund, and (in Ryanair terms) the newly
opened Niederrhein airport, makes five airports.
