Default holiday; poorly students

Hi all,

My friend and I are 18 years old, and itchin' to get away for a few weeks,
hopefully around Easter time!!.

The dream was Australia, but clearly we can't afford that!. We're interested in
Florida, we're told it's the only affordable place in America (flying from
UK!). Does anyone know the best sites to get a realistic and cheap price from?
I'm not really sure how much this will all cost.

Also, can anyone recommend places in Europe the go beyond the usual
drunken-slut fests such as Ibiza and Ayia Napa? I want to stay clear of all
that.

I appreciate the help!

Dan

you ever get lonely you can just go to the record store and visit your
friends.~

You probably know about www.lastminute.com. I also find
www.flights-international.com excellent, and the flights they offer
actually *exist* -- not always the case with the agencies advertising
unbelievably low prices.

I think you should be able to get a flight to New York as cheaply as to
Florida. NYC is a more expensive place day-to-day, but OTOH in Florida (a
great state once you leave the Disneymess behind) you'll need a car to get
much out of the trip.

However, this is off-topic, a very rare occurrence in rec.travel.europe...

Amsterdam, Barcelona, Dublin, Prague are all popular with youngsters like
yerself. Of course, that may not recommend them.

Almost anywhere in Eastern Europe (sorry, "New Europe") should be cheap
and interesting -- friends have recently returned with glowing reports of
low-budget trips to Slovakia and Poland.

Morocco maybe?
