No charges? Does the Post Office act as some sort of charity and not pay
their staff for providing this service?
You can look up the current Rate (today it is showing as 1.4126 Euros for
One Pound ) and compare that with others.

According to www.xe.com the bench mark figure today (at this time) is
.4750 - so if you can get nearer that figure you have won !

Marks and Spencer - at bigger branches only, otherwise the Post Office
- larger branches on demand, any PO at 3-4 days notice. Neither charge
commission, and usually have better exchange rates than the travel
agents/banks - but worth double checking.

There is of course a charge - but it's buried in the exchange rate.
