Default help in deciding hotel in Paris

Hi guys:

I would be in paris on nov 20. i would like to know which area should
i stay to commute easily so that i could visit:
eiffel tower, notre dame, champs-elysees, arc de triompe, saint
chappele. Also would like to know are there any more places worth
visiting?
Also would like to know how many days it will take me to visit these
places. i will be in paris for 3 days.

Thanks;
Shanky

I just came back from paris
I stayed in Holiday Inn Place de la republic
price : eur 113.00 room/night without breakfast.
the metro station is just a few metres away.

you can reach the airport by RER and metro in about 35 minutes
price : 7.5 eur/person

in a few minutes walk you could reach Hotel de Ville
and Notre dame.

Louvre would be just a few minutes away.
from place de al republique metro station
and Chatelet change
you could reach in a few minutes Eiffel Tower
a tkt is 1.40 eur
or 11 tkts for 10.50 eur

there is a tourist bus (London type) that takes you around the most famous
monument sof the town
in about 2.hours 40 minutes.

you can get up and down at 9 stops.
price : 22 eur
validity : two days.
I warn you
there are huge lines at the eiffel tower ( opening time 9.30. already 30
minutes line )
3 different tkts according to the level you want to reach.
huge lines at the Louvre.. but there you will not wait more than 30 minutes.

you will need at least a few hours for the Louvre..
at least half day for Versailles
than a few hours for Notre dame ( free entrance, but you have to pay for
Treasure.. bell tower.. crypt)
you will not want to miss eglise du sacree coeur.
another few hours..
food..is inexpensive if you do not care too much about quality..
all restaurants offer tourist menus for as little as 10 eur
to 15 eur.
the weather was very nice and warm
but now there was a big change. cold and rainy.

Since you are not visiting any of the museums or parks one day will do
fine. You won't see much of the city but it will do.

For the hotel any central location will suffice.

Try www.jack-travel.com for a good guide to Paris and the Benelux.

Doesn't matter that much - as long as you're fairly central the metro
can get you everywhere pretty quickly.

Loads. Just a few more ideas to consider: Louvre Museum, Musee
D'Orsay, Versailles, Montmartre, Sacre Couer.

If you tell us some more about your interests, we could give you more
specific recommendations.

In 3 days you can only scratch the surface of this fascinating city.
I'd pick a few things that interest you and focus on those rather than
rushing around to try and hit everything on a list.

and two good gun shops on rue (or is it blvd?) voltaire right off the place.

if you need/want to hit the high points quick these things are great.
