Greek Island cruises & Istanbul
We are thinking of taking a 4-night cruise to the Greek Islands from
Athens this fall. So far I can only find two ships, the Perla (Louis
Cruises) and Aegean I (Golden Star Cruises). I've found mixed reviews
for both of these ships. Has anyone taken these cruises or know of
another ship to recommend? Also, does anyone know if there is a one-way
Istanbul to Athens cruise (or reverse)?
Thanks for your help. (P.S. I am posting this to both
rec.travel.europe and rec.travel.cruises).

Radison offers an Istanbul, Greek Islands, Athens or reverse cruise.
It's a bit up there in price, but then you get everything luxurious that
you can imagine. The ships have twin hulls, kind of like a
catamaran...except for very slow speeds they are incredibly stable.

Hi Brian,
The Radisson Diamond has been sold. It will not be doing this
itinerary.

Try island hopping using the ferry boats,
much more fun than a cruise ship.
Will solve the Istanbul-Athens one way
problem for you as well.
