Unlike you, who is always on-topic. I don't know about your sex life.

If your newsreader doesn't support plonking rules, you brain probably
does.

Once in a while I like to make a point. Be charitable enough to note
that I don't get into prolonged discussions with our pet trolls.

Having finally plonked Martin, Jacqueline and a few others only yesterday I
was tempted to say something about your bringing their posts to my
attention - But, as an occasional off-topic poster myself, I felt charitable
    :-)

If you've used Outlook Express to plonk Martin, be advised that he uses
[email protected] and OE blocks only on apparent e-mail address. I tried
plonking him, only to find that I was losing sensible on-topic posts
from someone else on another newsgroup who happened to use the same
well-known spoof address. (Cue for someone to tell me not to use OE as
my newsreader ...)

I also display that email addy on R.T.E, along with quite a few
others........so you mean you've been losing my pearls of wisdom too?

<<sigh>>

Good reason, though: - I've been totally spam-free for months now.

Have Agent, but thus far haven't plonked anyone.

Even Figgers , Tchiowa and PJ O'D are good for a laugh sometimes, and
so are Mixi + Sockpuppet O'Being.

All part of life's rich tapestry...and I find many of Martin's
ripostes to be funny and often on-target.

Contrarian view to the "use Agent" crowd: Mozilla Thunderbird.

Really.

No guarantees that you'll necessarily think it's super swell, of course,
but it does the job for me, and has good "Message Filters" in the
Tools dropdown menu. Very good as freebies go, as is Mozilla's Firefox
browser.
