Getting to the Athens airport by 5am Sunday morning

Hello,
My understanding is that the Athens metro does not start until 5:30am.
I will be travelling from central Athens to the airport on a Sunday
morning to catch a 6am flight. Is taxi my only option?

Why not move to a hotel at or near the airport the night B4 your
flight. Its what we did for a 5:30AM flight out of Rome. Its a bit
more expensive, but considering the total expense of the trip, its
a drop in the bucket. This website lists the Sofitel + Holiday Inn:

Why not move to a hotel at or near the airport the night B4 your
flight. Its what we did for a 5:30AM flight out of Rome. Its a bit
more expensive, but considering the total expense of the trip, its

There is a 24hr bus from Syntagma Sq. to the airport also.
