Anyone ever been to Gambia? SWMBO has just booked a week in february. Any
dos/dont's?

Gambia? Do you mean the one in Poland, or the one in Spain?

Gosh, I've been all over Europe and I don't remember that place..

Rec.travel.africa has almost no traffic though. He has a better chance
of getting decent answers on African travel here.

Interesting.
Am currently also considering for maybe some November sun.
It's dirt cheap for a couple of weeks (from the UK).
I know elsewhere in West Africa, and my first question will be "Is it too
bloody humid" as well as hot!
I understand that the decent hotels around Bathurst (sorry - Banjul!) are
now quite decent.
I get the impression it's largely a hotel/complex/beach stay, which isn't
really us.
But there are obviously river/jungle trips, which is us.
I'm inclined to give it a go, depending on that humidity report - which
might not worry you but has killed me in Nigeria & co!

I, too, would be interested in any direct reports?
