I'm researching a trip ching a trip and need
to travel from Paris to Gap (france). I'm having a bit of trouble
understanding the rail info that I've found so far. On thalys.com I've a
train that seems to run overnight leaving at 2205 and arrivng at 659. On
raileurope.com I've found a slightly shorter trip that seems to leave from
a different station in paris (?) but there's no departure time. CAn
someone point me to a schedule for thesew trains or tell me if I'm way
off.
Cheers!

Forget the raileurope schedules. they are often misleading more than
helpful. the French railsite is www.sncf.com (or .fr) one can only get
information on sncf within 2 or 3 months of travel but you can get the
fares. Thalys is not the best site for french rail as thalys service is
actually north from Paris.
leaving from the Gare de Lyon I found this train to be best on Jan 31
PARIS GARE DE LYON 10h44 TGV 6193
VALENCE VILLE 13h01
VALENCE VILLE 13h11 ter 17357
arr GAP 15h35
Good luck

the trains do not appear to run daily, I found that the only train
scheduled on Dec 30 is the overnight from the Austerlitz station but
using other days I found the Gare de Lyon trains noted in my other post.
