Default Frence Alps in November

Curious whether hiking near Annecy and Chamonix is
possible in mid-November? Is this a decent time to visit
Savoie, or is it "too early for snow, too late for the outdoors?"

I think you'd have to be very careful...if the weather looks good leading up
to it, worth a try, but you would have to be alert for sudden weather
changes, including storms and snow. You might consider some kind of
emergency radio plus cell phone, and be prepared to be caught out overnight.
