This morning's BBC Radio 4 Today program interview with farmers
effected and local "let's do nothing for now" agricultural experts
from some local govt. department. 70 km north of Toulouse there is a
plague of locusts as well as a severe drought.

What's wrong with the rest of the frog? I've had frog soup in Thailand
which was literally a bowl with three frogs in it. It was great. (I
suspect the type of frog used is different?)

The government usually knows where law abiding people reside, this is
where one receives bills for tax / rates / rents / mortgages / car
insurance / gas / electricity, etc...
Your comments indicate that you might prefer a charter for criminals,
don't they?
Things might be different in the US, where a tiny fraction of the
planet reside.

It was a question! Are you granted these Rights and protections?

Perhaps, perhaps not, but is it or is it not a requirement, by law,
that the Gov knows where you live ?

Is everyone a criminal? Moreover, are they a criminal until THEY prove
themselves innocent? Do they have the Right to a reasonable bail, so
they may aid in their defence ?
> Things might be different in the US,
They are decidedly different in the U.S in this regard.. In the U.S.
one does not, by Constitutional Right, have to identify one's self at
the request of law enforcement.
UK citizens should be very concerned over a proposed National ID card.

Are you from Denmark, a country with a population 3x smaller than the
Metro area of Los Angeles ?
You started out by saying you are European, "a place where we don't
have the Patriot Act"... Please quote from the Patriot Act the most
offensive clause to you... or did you not read it ?

In the first place, why didn't you reply to my post with my comments on
the EU Constitution? In the second place, you haven't even tried to
include any specificity to your comment of my "ignorant replies". You
demanded that from me, but now you consider yourself exempt. BTW I read
the English version of the EU constitution, so I understand perfectly
well what's written in it. I take it that you are in agreement with the
Constitution, so what's the problem? You have the right to vote on it,
so do so. I don't have that right, I just gave my opinion. I am
entitled to an opinion, don't you agree? Or are you uncomfortable with
that? Next time though, don't call people liars when you don't know the
first thing about them.

Have you looked around this newsgroup (or any other, for that matter)?
What I'm saying is milquetoast compared to what some others post. Half
of it is tongue firmly planted in cheek, the other half is serious. But
I say, if you can't stand the heat, I recommend you get out of the
kitchen. Watch out for the hot stove on your way out. Bye!
