Here's what happened.

Second day in Paris my partner and I walked across the street to a
pharmacy asked for the flu vaccine.
They didn't bat an eyelash, we paid about 7 euros for it.
Best thing is it came packaged in a syringe, and having a girlfriend
who is a physician, no problem with getting the injection.

Actually these could be self administrated. Our doctor give the shot in the
back up high, but I suppose it could be done almost anywhere.

A couple of years ago my wife had a broken ankle in a cast and was
required to take blood thinner. For a while a nurse came to the apartment
to give the shots but taught me how and I finished up the series. The
French don't go bonkers over needle possession. Of course these are
"use only once" needles.

If you get a doctor conventioné the cost of the doctor`s visit
is 20 euros, or about $25 at current exchange rates. But the
paramedics around town can give them.

In these days there should be nothing else.
