such as La Tasca spanish restaurant for the worst paella I ever had in
my entire life: just overcooked rice floating in a liquid and no
saffron at all... bleah!

alternatively, try the Blue Lagoon underneath the Central Station
bridge in Glasgow. Thats if you can get to order without wretching your
guts up due to the stink. I know 10 pints of 'heavy' should fix that

La Tasca is a chain. I've had mixed experiences with them, but I refuse
to go to the one in Manchester now because it doesn't have a dedicated
non-smoking section (and I told them so.) I think paella can be a bit
iffy in Spain too- certainly, lots of restaurants seem to cater for the
tourists.

That's the worst part.. And it's like that with everything. No wonder
that even the more moderate Flemings (including me) are getting fed up
with federalism.

I was referring to the "much appreciated" one in Covent Garden...
Paella in Spain in "touristic" places such as the Barcelona's harbour
and on the seaside in Valencia, are simply superb...
shit also was the paella in an otherways really great seafood place in
Capetown, the Fisherman' Wharf in Hout Bay: much better (no joke) the
frozen one one's can buy in any decent supermarket even in Italy...
best,

Not all of Spain, and probably not all of those places if if past
threads on this are anything to go on. I've seen some that looks a lot
less than appetising.

How does a town the 'size' of Inverness have somewhere well
outside the centre?

And while you're there, don't leave without visiting Neals Yard Dairy,
in Shortts Garden, the best cheese shop in England.
