Default ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Messina

I know the ferries run every 15 minutes or so, but does anyone know how
LATE they run? I think my train is arriving there pretty late in the
evening. Also, how much is it one way? Thanks.

They're running all night, somewhat irregular but almost hourly from 20:00
with around 12-14 sailings between 00:00 -06:00
I've travelled through on trains only but I think the price is inexpensive.
Train tickets are valid so you should try to have your ticket issued to
Messina rather than Villa San G
