They do offer seats at these prices, they just might not be available at
the time of day or on the day that you want to travel (prices tend to
increase as the date of the flight approaches). There will be tax to pay
on top of this (I think it's 10 pounds for intra-EU flights), and I
don't know how close to Venice the airport Ryanair uses is -- they are
notorious for using cheap airports which are some distance from the city
they claim to be flying to... Hahn instead of Frankfurt, Torp instead of
Oslo, Charleroi instead of Brussels, for example.
Make sure you read all their terms and conditions, particularly with
regard to weight of baggage and check-in times -- if you are late
checking-in the cheap airlines will NOT let you board, and you'll
probably have to buy a new ticket.

We flew from Ancona to London roundtrip for one cent (euro) each way in
November. They do these kinds of promotions now and then.

Hi - I went to Venice in January on the 1p flights - it doesnt include
airport taxes etc, which made the cost about £25. The airport is
Treviso which you need to get a bus to/from which takes about an hour
to get to Venice and then you just need to jump into a boat to get to
the centre. Had a wonderful time and would do it again!
True though you get what you pay for!

You're the second one noting 'you get what you payed for', but did you or
did you get a lot more than you payed for?

Bus connections are fitted to Ryanair's schedule. There is a bus from
Treviso Airport to Venice after EACH Ryanair flight, and the bus will
wait in case of late arrival (which is unlikely).
Don't worry, it's not as bad as some people say.
