Nice study. With regard to France however, I found several problems.
1) France was given a negative for "access to medical record". In fact
we are first in line for the facts. If one has a blood test for instance
one gets a copy and the doctor gets one too IF you OK it. X-rays, echograms
EKG and other exam results and what the specialists says about them
are directly handed to the patient and the patient transports them
to one's generalist.
2) France was given an = on heat attack mortality rates after 28 days in the
hospital. France always has a third the heart disease rate as other
countries Europe
3) a - on prescription renewal without a doctors visit. Generally
prescriptions, if they are taken for an extended period are for 3 months.
I don't have to go to the doctor every month to renew heart medication.
But the 3 month regular visit is a control. One is not allowed to just
renew a prescription unless it is written into the prescription.
4) the convenience of payment deferral. One is not charged for the hospital
bill, that is covered by the SS in France. I am not exactly sure what they
are talking about there.
I'll have to look over the scoring vs ranking which are not compatible to
find out the difference.
The conclusion on France was it does not have a fantastic outcome quality.
As measured by national longevity figures it is number one in Europe.
But that might be genetics and not care.
