Default Europe, heaven and hell

Hear ye, hear ye! New heaven and hell interpretation!

Heaven is Italian food and weather, Swiss punctuality, French wine and perfume,
English police and military , German scholarship. As an American protectorate.

Hell is Scottish food and weather, Italian punctuality and police, German military,
English wine. As an Islamic fundamentalist protectorate.

You should check the weather in Northern Italy a few days ago. Hail stones that
smashed car windshields and damaged houses etc. ......

You forgot sex.

Heaven - British, Hell - French (is that right?).

Don't know where Heaven is, but Hell Bay is in the Isles of Scilly, Hell's Glen is in
Argyll & Bute in Scotland, and Hell's Half Acre is in Kirkwall on Orkney.

And Hell itself is in Norway, isn't it!

There's a railway station at Hell - I think it's in Norway somewhere round about the
Arctic Circle - doubtless someone on this n/g will know.

Anyway, a friend of mine has a series of superb black-and-white photos of the place
which he took just after it had suffered a major fire. Nice - the station sign with
blackened and twisted metal giders etc

Hmmmmm - a choice between Islamic fundamentalism and free market fundamentalism -
don't think I want to live anywhere which is either fundamentalist or a protectorate.

The old West Germany wasn't such a bad place to live, really.

I'd have thought that the one-way ticket was in the other direction.

Beside the "HELL" station there's a "GODS-EXPEDITION" as well so there are
alternatives.

There's a what?! Seriously, I assumed 'Hell' meant something else in Norwegian. Are
you telling me there's a town called God's Expedition? Or have I fallen foul of a
joke too subtle for me!

The name of the railway station not far from Trondheim is "HELL", beside the
station there's a building marked "GODS-EXPEDITION". That translates as
"freight-expedition" .
