New Selectpass Countries
With increasing interest in Eastern Europe, new countries ¡V Slovenia,
Croatia (treated as one "country"), Bulgaria, Serbia & Montenegro (also
treated as one "country") - will be joining the Eurail Selectpass range
as from January. This will give customers even more choice in creating
their tailor-made Eurail Selectpass, comprising of either 3, 4 or 5
adjoining countries. Furthermore, with the addition of a new bonus partner,
Grimaldi Ferries operating between Italy and Spain, these two countries
have become "bordering" countries and an eligible combination for the
Eurail Selectpass.
[Note: Only a 20% reduction on Grimaldi Ferries is available with Eurail
Passes]
New Eurail Regional Passes
In additional to extending the Eurail Selectpass range, Eurail will be
offering more Regional Passes (formally known as Eurail 2-country Passes).
As well as the Germany-Benelux and Romania-Hungary passes which were
introduced in 2004, the following Eurail Regional Passes will be available
as per January 2005:
Austria-Slovenia/Croatia, Germany-Denmark, Hungary-Slovenia/Croatia, France
¡¥n Italy, France ¡¥n Spain, Greece ¡¥n Italy and Spain ¡¥n Portugal.
Validities vary from three days up to 10 days of travel within a
two-month period in First Class (Second Class is also available for most
passes).
No price change for the Eurailpass
In 2005, the price of the classic 17-country Eurailpass for travel from 10
days to three months will remain unchanged, as it has since 2003.
