I think what Henry may have been pointing out is that in much of
Europe you're hard-pressed to find a couchette for the EUR10 stated
above. In my experience most trains in Europe charge about that for a
reclining seat on a night train (which a Eurail passholder still must
pay). The average couchette is about twice that (Aprox. EUR19). While
you can usually find a bed at a hostel for about EUR14 unless you're
in Amsterdam or Paris.

East and Central Europe I guess, in Western Europe more likely to be about
EUR20 or EUR30 in the more comfortable 4berth compartments.
