There are no hotels inside the city, at least there were none last time I
was there. Most hotels are on the Lapad area. The Imperial, right outside
the Pile gate, was being rebuild last time I was there. Perhaps its
available now. The Argentina seems to be within walking distance of the city
(its in the background of some of my shots when we were swimming), but I
don't know anything about it. Croatia is putting a lot of effort into
re-establishing its Cold War era hotels, which are large and ugly.

I prefer staying in private homes, and of course, you can do that within the
city walls.

Sorry, I can't help you with the islands. We were on a bicycle trip and
slept on our boat.

have you been in dubrovnik by today's date or you're asking for the
2007?
