No, that would be the folks who will be coming to feed you, clean you up,
readjust your restraints and change your dirty sheets.

Cookies are not much of a security risk.

Cookies are not "infections"; they do not contain executable code.
They are just strings of text that a Web site can request a browser to
memorize. The browser then repeats the text back the next time it
visits that site.

    > If cookie infestation occurs, what can follow (or already has??).

If cookies were the only concern, there wouldn't be any concern.

They don't need cookies for that, and cookies don't help them discover
it.

Why were you looking for that? Have you converted? :) I got my partner a
30GB ipod video for Christmas. Now _I_ want one too! :)

No. It was for somebody else. It's not on the web anymore.

I nearly got Linux out of it's box today. I bought it at Christmas two
years ago and still haven't opened the box.

That would result in EUR 170 of lack of enthusiasm :-)

Do I need an Internet connection to install it? The PC is missing it's
ethernet card at the moment.

ethernet is 'useful' for downloading from internet (and broadband is
nodig),
if you have the disks its not a problem
