Default Dialing codes, time of day, and postal addresses in countries

To obtain the dialing codes needed for telephoning from one country to
another, visit
http://www.countrycallingcodes.com/

This will give you the EXIT (to get a telephone line out of a
particular country) and ENTRY (to get a telephone line into another
country) codes. For example, if you were telephoning from Australia
to the USA, then you would dial 0011 1 followed by the rest of the
number (hence the EXIT and ENTRY codes would be 0011 and 1
respectively). Of course, dialing codes are only needed if one is
dialing from a landline or mobile - they are not needed for internet
calling (V.O.I.P.) from, say, SKYPE.

To find the current time of day in different parts of the world visit

Google Maps is quite good for confirming the full postal address
required for mailing. Visit
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&qGenerally, putting into Google Maps, the very first part of the
address, for example the street name (e.g. King's Road) or the
building name (e.g. Marytree House) and the most minor place name in
the address, i.e. the first place name in the address, will guarantee
to return the full postal address.

Examples in the UK:*

Putting in "Salter's Road""Wallyford" returns the full postal address
- Salter's Road, Wallyford, Musselburgh, East Lothian.

Putting in "Harbour Court""Musselburgh" returns the full postal
address - Harbour Court, Harbour Road, Musselburgh, East Lothian,
EH21.

Putting in "Marytree House""Edinburgh" returns the full postal address
- Marytree House, 12 Craigour Green, City of Edinburgh, EH17.

And a couple of examples in Australia:

Putting in "Kenton Way""Rockingham" "Australia" returns the full
postal address - Kenton Way, Rockingham, WA, 6168, Australia.

Putting in "Arthur Street""Mermaid Beach"'Australia" returns the full
postal address - Arthur Street, Mermaid Beach, QLD, 4218, Australia.

A USA example:

Putting in "Fox Hunter Drive""Alpharetta""USA" returns the full postal
address - Fox Hunter Drive, Alpharetta, GA, 30022, USA.

Obviously, you can also often use random fragments of an address in
Google Maps to put together a full postal address. For example,
putting in "Kenton way""6168""Australia" returns the full postal
address Kenton Way, Rockingham, WA, 6168, Australia.

*Addresses in the UK have alpha-numerical postcodes, and a postcode is
shared , at the most, by a relatively small number of residences
(unlike in Australia and in the USA - called zip codes in the USA,
where postcodes are numerical, and are shared by a whole town(s)).

To obtain a FULL postcode for a UK address (Google Maps only gives the
first part, usually), visit
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/postcodefinder;jsessionid=YTPMHV3JGKLYMFB2IGFUQEQU HRAYUQ2K;jsessionid=YTPMHV3JGKLYMFB2IGFUQEQUHRAYUQ 2K?catId@0145&gear=postcode

To do the reverse, obtain a UK address(es) from a FULL postcode, visit
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/addressfinder;jsessionid=YTPMHV3JGKLYMFB2IGFUQEQUH RAYUQ2K?catId@0145&pageId=pcaf_a_search&gear=postc ode

Canada also uses alpha-numerical postcodes, and these work exactly the
same way as UK ones. A website to help with these is
http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pcl/bin/range-e.asp
