Anyone remember about 10 years back when Denmark won the football
world championship against Germany?

Do we ever. Weird thing was that Denmark didn´t qualify for the
championship . They were only called in at the last minute as a
substitute for Yugoslavia, who couldn´t participate because of the
war.

Thanks Sjoerd, it was the EM. I'm not a football man, but I do recall
the day well. All my german neighbours had put a TV and beer trestles
out on the street to watch the match.

They could but were simply denied to participate because of the war actions.
I can remember one of my Yugoslav work mates angry comments.
