This map might help:
http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/kob/kobnhavn2.htm
The metro doesn't get to the central station (København H) at all. You have
to change from the metro to the S-Tog network at Nørreport, and then
travel two stations south.
Cheers,
Paul.

Nørreport yes with a change to S-train. Or have a long walk from "Kongens
Nytorv".
Perhaps this map explains : http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/kob/kobnhavn2.htm

No. Hovedbanegarten. It's across the street from Tivoli at Vesterbrogade.

Not quite. Hovedbanegarden (with a little circle over the second "A" IIRC)
is the main railway station - literally "head railway enclosure". It is not
served by the metro. As already posted, you must change from metro to S-Tog
a couple of stations to the north.
