Default Classical concerts in Berlin?

After a fair amount of googling I've still not found any information
on this, so wonder if anyone here can point me in the right direction
please? I need to know what classical concerts are schedule in Berlin,
21-24 October, and if it's possible to book one online please.

Berlin Philharmonic Website:
http://www.berliner-philharmoniker.de/
It's in German, but there's a button on the far right marked
"Switch to English". Also, Kulture Kiosk has infor on
classical events throughout Europe:
http://www.culturekiosque.com/ (The new, improved web-site
is still "under construction", so you may encounter a few
glitches.)

There is a weekly magazine (of the What's On kind) coming out in
Berlin, the name of which escapes me right now.

There are quite a few opportunities going on all the time, and out of
personal experience I can tell you it is easy to get tickets.

I've been trying to get the info out of my mangled mind to no avail,
sorry.

A very simple Google research gives you the answer...
Of course, going to Germany would mean trying some simple german words you
can find in any online dictionnary, if you don't speak the language.
Berlin Klassik Konzert Kalender are the keywords for example...and one can
understand them easily.
Please do google in other languages than english if you want to travel !
Happy travelling !

You are not even fluent in your native French, so please spare us all
the lectures...

You could catch classical concerts at the Berlin Philharmonie, there is
a Großesaal and a Kleinesaal, the Deutsche Oper, the beautiful
Komischoper, the Staatsoper at Unter den Linden and the Berlin
Konzerthaus. You can find all of them online, and there are English
versions of their websites too. There are various other venues, such as
the Cathedral (Dom), which has free concerts and organ recitals.

There are 2 Opera Houses in Berlin ( East and West)
Berlin.de is a good starting point for general city info
http://www.berlin.de/english/index.html

Specifically,
http://www.staatsoper-berlin.de/en/intro.htm ( East Berlin) You can buy
tickets online. Here is the calendar:
http://culturebase.de/terminausgaben...?id_language=2

Even if you don't want to get fancy in the dining room -- make sure to
get there early to have coffee and pastry in the coffee shop -
excellent snacks !

As for West Berlin, here's their website:
http://www.deutscheoperberlin.de/ it's a lot of graphics, but click
on the logo when it finishes then " ENGLISH". Then schedule / tickets
etc. You can probably read about it in your local newspaper - they
just cancelled a show due to religious reasons - they are rescheduling
the season now so make sure the website is current !!! ( google "
berlin opera head " )
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,215807,00.html is one of the stories

Many thanks for all those helpful replies, which I'm following up.

A snag is that I have to exclude the first day, Sat 21st Oct, as we
arrive too late to make that possible. And it seems nothing on Monday
23rd. That leaves 22nd and 24th.

Hi!

Unfortunately I must correct you.
There are 3 opera houses in Berlin:

1. Deutsche Staatsoper
2. Komische Oper
3. Deutsche Oper Berlin

There are 2 major concert locations:

1. Philharmonie
2. Schauspielhaus (a former theatre, rebuild as a concert hall after
serious damage in WW II)
There are some Open Air classical concerts as well (e.g. in Waldbühne).

Pleased to report that we were able to book the Mozart concert at the
Konzerthaus, Sunday 22nd October, and it was very enjoyable.

Thanks again for the help here which enabled us to do so.
