Default Cheap charter type flights to Germany?

I live in Canada and travel to germany a couple of times a year.
Usually I use Air canada all the way to Frankfurt from Vancouver but
was wondering if there are any discount airlines that do a hop across
the Atlantic from places like Chicago or New York (or Minneapolis).
Yes, I've run this through the usual suspects - Expedia and the like
but thought someone might know a real nice charter type deal. This
would be in late June.

Check the prices for LTU. They sometimes have good deals.

There are no "discount airlines" (Ryanair, Easyjet, etc.) flying cross-
Atlantic routes.

Icelandair can have some very good deals on flights from the US
through Reykjavik to major European cities...but those are usually
only in the offseason and are not likely in late June.

Charter flights usually go to beach resorts - it would be very unusual
to find one to a city like Frankfurt.

Zoom to London then one of the budget carriers (e.g. Ryan, Easy,
Germanwings) to Germany?

Charter carrier Air Transat flies nonstop YVR-FRA in peak season.
Picking June 9 departure and June 24 return brings back a price of $939
before taxes or $1,127 taxes included. You aren't likely to get anything
cheaper by flying to a different location in North America and trying to
get a second flight to Germany from there.

But you just might get a better YVR-FRA fare from a regular airline like
Lufthansa or even KLM with a stop in Amsterdam. Forget expedia or any
website. Dont even book with their airlines' own websites. For the best
price you need to find a decent travel agent. I have had good deals
from Travel Cuts in Vancouver. Better hurry, it's already February and
the cheap fares for June will sell out fast.
