car south through spain or north to france?
Travelling to Oporto and the Algarve from Canada in July. Our plan is
to spend one week in the Algarve, then travel around for another 7-10
days via auto. We are considering two different routes:
a) carry on from the Algarve into spain, possibly travelling to
Morocco, then back through Spain to Oporto.
b) drive to northern Portugal, crossing into Spain and southern
France.
Any suggested itineraries?

The area around Oporto is nice. The direct drive from Algarve to Oporto is
OK but daunting and often boring.
I would be tempted to divert into Spian and do Sevile or something.
Look out for the Portuguese / Spanish state castles for staying in.
