I, too, have had great customer service from AE. Once in England Avis
incorrectly overcharged us. Called AE when we got our credit card bill and
they immediately issued us a credit for the overcharged amount. A few years
later a Europcar agent in Perpignan wanted to charge us extra for something
(I forget the exact details now) when we returned the car. An on the spot
phone call to AE using their toll-free 24-hour phone number and the
situation was resolved in our favor.

I, too, have had great customer service from AE. Once in England Avis

As I've continued to look at cheap options. (and no, I still haven't
gotten around to callling hertz!yikes!) I found that the rate I got was
the same that they offer autoclub members!
Since it's seemingly already a club discount, I don't think I can get it
cheaper with your card number but when I get around to calling
(hopefully before the day before the trip ;o) I'll ask. thanks.
