Passengers flying from Stansted will soon be able to take advantage of
bus transfers from central London for just 2 each way. Branded in the
usual orange hue, Stelios Haji-Ioannou's latest creation, EasyBus,
will operate more than 40 services each day to the airport, starting
from June 7.
Easy Bus
'Flights to Luton and Stansted are usually great value, but onward
transport can be relatively expensive'
Services from London to Stansted will depart from Gloucester Place and
return to nearby Baker Street.
EasyBus already offers connections with Luton airport from the same
pick-up and return points. From May 27 anew service to Luton will be
offered from London Victoria, in conjunction with Greenline coaches,
bringing the total number of services to more than 60 a day.
Fares can rise to 7 one-way on the Stansted route and 8 one-way on
the Luton route for last-minute bookings or seats purchased at the
airport or on the buses.
"Flights to Luton and Stansted are usually great value, but onward
transport can be relatively expensive," said Haji-Ioannou, founder of
all "Easy" ventures. "I hope we will launch more routes between
airports and city centres in the near future," he added.
The bus price includes carriage of one medium-sized suitcase and one
piece of hand luggage. Customers wishing to take additional suitcases
must pay for an additional seat.
Visit www.easybus.co.uk for bookings, although payment can be made at
the Easybus ticket desk at the airport or directly to the driver
providing there are seats still available.
