Default Budapest - please Help

In one and one half days in the city, we would like to visit these
attractions (no others which we have already seen):
- the Parliament
- Fishermen's Bastion
- Gellrt and Thermal Baths
- Central Synagogue
- St Stephen's Basilica
- Margit Island

1)Could you please tell me what we should see in the first
afternoon, leaving from the 'esplanade' in Pest?

2)What remaining attractions from the above list can we see in the
next full day?

Can we walk to/from any of them? Please help me organize my time
efficiently. Thanks a million.

Get a travel pass to use for unllimited public transportation. Trolley and
subway both work nicely.
You may want to add "Hero's Square" to your list.
1.5 days is too little. s

Thanks, Steve. I have my route planned for Heroe's Square and the
others. I just need to organize the rest of these attractions in a
loop. Is the travel pass worth it for the time involved?

No. You can see them all easily in that time.

They sell the 3 day pass. If you have some language skills and loose change
its very likley you could do better. Myself, although Budapest is a very
easy city I like to keep my hands out of my pockets.

One thing I might add, Margit Island is substantial. If you have a target
or two from a guide book get on a bus in the park. I took a trolley to the
park and likely "wasted" an hour or two wandering about. I did however get
to see what appeared to be a beautiful competition venue being constructed
for their national team.
Enjoy, s
