Has anyone stayed at either the Hostal La Estrella or Hostal Roquefer in
Bilbao. Both are mentioned in the Lonely Planet, but I've been online and
can't get more than addresses and phone numbers. Often, people write
reviews, but they are none for these two. Also looking for inexpensive
hostals in San Sebastian and Pamplona. If anyone has personal experience
with any, I'd appreciate the advice. Thanks.

No, I blew big money for a one night stay opposite the
Guggenheim. Bilbao is an industrial town with a couple of nice
squares in the old town, but I hope the locals wont be offended
if I say its *not yet* the best bit of the Basque country for
tourists.
