can anyone advise?:
we have a plan (plane tickets already booked) to fly to Majorca spend 5 days
there - take ferry to Formentara and Ibiza for 5 days there - take ferry to
Minorca for 5 days (including easter weekend) where we can stay with a
friend and back to Majorca on Easter Monday for the flight back
- how practical will it be to pick up on the odd unbooked up hotels or
apartments once we are there - or should we seriously think about booking
every day from this end?
- also do we need to book the ferries in advance or can you turn up and
expect to get a berth?
- thanks in advance for any advice

I don't know for sure but some hotels on Mallorca close in the
winter and then when open are packed with package tourists. I
would certainly do some research before going. Easter I would
definitely book now.

I don't think you need to worry about booking accommodation in advance apart
from Easter weekend, as Mike suggested. There are so many hotels and
apartments, you are bound to have a choice of places to stay. However, I
would also advise you do some research in advance so you have a least a few
options to select from. We are going to Mallorca for Easter weekend and
there appears to be plenty of availability at the moment.
www.medhotels.com , www.mundicolor.co.uk and www.hvsl.es have a good range
(on Mallorca anyway)
Our guide has places on Formentera (as well as a few on the other islands)
