Default Alhambra granada

Hi,
Would anyone know how the water foutains in Alhambra worked in medival
ages. There were no electric pumps in the 14th century, so how was the
water pressure generated to operate the fountains. (espcially since
Alhambra is situated on top of a hill)

Thanks
Abhijit
