For some serious mountain driving, I've decided to base myself in the
Andermatt area for 3 nights. So I'm looking for some recommendation of
reasonably priced places to stay (up to 60 euro/night for a double
room). The main priority is easy access by car.

Best probably is to check www.andermatt.ch
-> http://www.andermatt.ch/de/hotels-m478/
Not many other places around: Realp is small (but
nevertheless a few hotels) as is Hospental, still
in the same valley and not far from Andermatt.
Access by car to Andermatt is definitely not
problem, parking there might become one.
On Furka Pass road is Tiefenbach

great view, but not much Nightlife around .... :-)
Just be aware that Furka, Grimsel, Susten pass roads
are still closed (usually to early June). St.Gotthard
opened a week ago, and Swiss Touring Club web-site
is reporting snow on Oberalp now!

Are the prices there per room or per person? When I look at the hotel
home pages, I see a very different price level.

Not exactly cheap..

Not an issue. All the place needs is a road.
