Did it say when the flights would be? These adverts are usually
to lure you in only to find that these fares are not currently
available but can be booked for, say, mid-November.

I must ask what the fine print says: these sort of quotes are
usually one-way.

For reasons that escape me, return fares from Europe seem always
less expensive than from the USA.

No, Marie, the rubbish is handled by contract workers at Heathrow. The $450
ticket holders from the US only have to empty the restroom containers after
landing. The Facility provides hand carts and gloves. No coveralls or face mask
though and it can be a nasty job too.

Depends on the time of year. Is that for both of you? Coach or business
class? IIRC, It only cost me about $600 round trip coach to Paris from
LA, a year ago this past February. (And Paris is a bit further than
London.)

What airline are you using? We had to take 20 bags of trash off the aircraft
outside standing on the tarmac! I should add, though, that our tickets only
cost $390 so maybe that is why.

This was on Air France, by the way. The flight attendants were on strike and
two of the discount passengers got off by acting as flight attendants and
serving meals, which seemed unfair to me. I would much rather have served meals
and beverages than empty the restroom and trash after the flight.

Luxury, bloody luxury.

If memory serves, on my last flight we had to eat all the rubbishy
left-over food, de-plane with a minimum of 35 bags of trash and clean 8
restrooms. And since the plane only had 4 toilets to start with, we
had to fight with the guys arriving on the next flight to clean theirs
before they'd let us into the airport.

Hmmff. Some people don't know they're born.....

But what about my question?

At http://www.trailfinders.com/specialoffer2.htm I find rather
inexpensive travel UK to USA via Delta for UKP 260-295 but travel
is in November (as I suggested).

One really has to go into the shop to get the best prices: difficult for
those residing outside Great Britain, I must admit.
