Hi,

I'm from Madrid but also know every corner here in Spain.
Spain is not expensive at all comparated with France or England but, as you say, when the Euro was introduced the prices rose a bit. Let me suggest to you some cheap accommodations (you can reserve online if you want) on the main cities ...

My suggestions: Hostel Palacios (http://www.hostalpalacios.com/), Hostel Centric (http://www.hostal-centric.com/), Pension Bahia (http://www.pensionbahia.com/), Pensión Alba (http://www.pensionalba.com/).

Seville

My suggestions: Gran hotel Lar (http://www.larhotel.com/, a four star but not very expensive). Hotel Laurel

Córdoba

My suggestion: Hostal Lineros 38 (http://www.hostallineros38.com/), Hotel Boston (http://www.hotel-boston.com/).

I hope this may help you and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate and contact me ...

Regards.

I am doing Spain (Starting in Mid-May) and am curious if anyone has some
ideas on the things I should be looking into doing. The budget (Excluding
Airfare of course....) is 1000-1500 Euros. (Extras such as souvenirs are
separate) That's what I have saved now, more could be added in the time to
come I suppose.

I am interested in pretty much everything. I would love to get a feel for
the Spanish nightlife, however the key things I am interested in are seeing
the Museums and Older towns. I'm a fairly low-cost type of person, and
shared rooms and such are not a big deal.

Also, has anyone taken a trip to Spain lately? I am looking for approximate
values on things like food, accomdation and transport. Most of the values I
find are still in the old currency, and I'm sure prices went up when the
Euro was introduced.

As always, help is appreciated.
